Real People Media is establishing a storytelling center within the Keweenaw National Historical Park in downtown Calumet, Michigan. This facility will allow us to pursue our mission of helping people share their stories through literary, visual, performance and media arts. Through proposed partnerships with Main Street Calumet, the Park Service as well as other nonprofit and governmental agencies, we will share stories about and with the community to promote this culturally and historically rich area.
We have acquired the historic 1948 Woolworth's building in downtown Calumet via donation by Family Dollar Corporation. The main floor is 7,600 square feet. The building will allow us to:
