Helping People Tell Their Stories Through Digital Media

Real People Media is a 501(c)3 non-profit that teaches people how to create TV programs that discuss and explore local issues. We provide technical training and access to production equipment. Volunteers produce shows that celebrate local arts and culture and inform and educate the community about local issues and events. RPM believes in Giving Everyone a Voice.

RPM Fundraisers

RPM  holds two annual fundraisers:   Kite Flying Fundraiser and an Art Kite Auction.  The Kite Flying Fundraiser is held the last Saturday in July.   The event is a celebration of our rights under the constitution- freedom of speech and the right to assembly.   RPM provides participants with nylon kites, markers, feathers and fabric to decorate their kites.  After putting their message on kites, people are encouraged to fly them over the city of Charlevoix.   It's a fun event for the entire family.

RPM also holds an Art Kite Auction on the second Saturday in August.   Twenty artists donated kites in 2010.  We hope to have twice as many participants in 2011.   Please contact us if you're an artist and would like to participate.

Some of the 2010 kites are shown below.
