Helping People Tell Their Stories Through Digital Media

Real People Media is a 501(c)3 non-profit that teaches people how to create TV programs that discuss and explore local issues. We provide technical training and access to production equipment. Volunteers produce shows that celebrate local arts and culture and inform and educate the community about local issues and events. RPM believes in Giving Everyone a Voice.

New Broadcast Outlets for People in Northern Michigan

Last week, Real People Media director, Rebecca Glotfelty, met with Bob Goodenow, President of Sunrise Communications in Onaway, Michigan.  Sunrise provides service to the rural area of northeast lower Michigan and the eastern UP.  Sunrise has designated channel 6 as their public broadcast channel.  Real People Media hopes to work with communities in these areas to help produce programming which will run on this public channel.
