Our Mission

To encourage community participation and to teach youth about local history, culture and community events through the use of new media technology.

RPM accomplishes this mission by providing training in media production, by providing access to production equipment, by serving as an educational and vocational resource, and by facilitating distribution of community productions locally, nationally and internationally. Find out more about us.

Real People Media helps schedule and promote documentary programs created by under served and under represented communities in Northern Michigan, across the United States and around the globe. Please contact us if you're an independent filmmaker, community organization or other nonprofit who would like to share your film with viewers in Michigan. We'll help facilitate a showing. Unfortunately RPM is not able to compensate filmmakers for their work, but we would be happy to "pass the hat" at showings to help support you or your organizations' efforts.

The following showings are scheduled:

Tuesday, May 12, 2009
6:30 - 7:30 pm
Charlevoix Public Library
Community Room A
220 W. Clinton
Charlevoix, MI 49720
The Keeping of the Centennial Farm - A 4-H folk patterns project.
Film - 25 minutes - followed by discussion.
